At AD Clear, we offer a comprehensive range of membership categories designed to cater to various participants within the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) marketplace. Our membership structure ensures that all members can effectively participate in clearing and settlement activities while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Clearing Members

Clearing Members at AD Clear play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our clearing and settlement processes. We offer two distinct categories of Clearing Membership:

• Direct Clearing Members (DCM): These members are authorized to clear their own trades directly with AD Clear. Direct Clearing Members benefit from direct access to our advanced clearing systems, enabling efficient post-trade processing and robust risk management.
• General Clearing Members (GCM): These members provide clearing services to other trading participants, including those who do not have direct access to the clearing house. General Clearing Members facilitate a broader participation in the market by extending their clearing services to a wider range of customers.

Settlement Agents (Custodian)

Settlement Agents are crucial to the DVP (Delivery versus Payment) process, ensuring that securities are delivered only upon payment and vice versa. Typically, Settlement Agents are banks or financial institutions approved by AD Clear to handle DVP trades on behalf of their customers. They play an essential role in maintaining market integrity and protecting the interests of all participants.
